Reading Activity: Roll and Act!
Objective(s):
Your child will be able to:

Recognise at least 5 words and form the sentences correctly.

Identify at least 2 words correctly based on the scenario acted out.
Description of activity:
1. Child will start first by roll the dice and once the dice lands, he/she will read the positional word on the dice facing upwards (eg. If the dice lands with the word ‘Out’ facing up, child will read out loud 'Out').
2. Child will be the object (eg. eraser) and move according to the positional word shown on the dice.
3. Parents will then ask the child to make up a sentence using the respective positional word rolled previously.

Practice pre-writing skills with lacing and drawing.
Description of activity:

Allow your child to bend the pipe cleaners according to the shape of the letters.

Using the animal characters with holes punched around it, allow your child to lace around the animals with a shoelace.

Task your child to draw an animal of their choice inside the house and lace along the outline of the house using a shoelace to "build a house" for the animal that they have drawn.
